Sicilian Grilled Peppers

Its Father’s Day weekend and this occasion definitely calls for breaking out the

grill.  You can use any peppers that you choose in this simple recipe.  I am a sucker for the mini rainbow colored bell peppers in the supermarket; I just can’t walk by without grabbing a bag.

For this recipe you will need:

  • Bell Peppers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Victoria Taylor’s Sicilian Seasoning

Preheat grill to medium high heat.

Take several bell peppers, cleaned of the stems and seeds, and cut into strips lengthwise or in half if using smaller peppers.  You may add other vegetables to this recipe as well if you wish as zucchini, summer squash and thickly sliced onions all grill up well.

In a large zip top bag combine the peppers, Sicilian Seasoning and Olive Oil.  Shake to completely coat.

Place skin side down on medium hot grill, until skin blisters and peppers soften 4-8 minutes. You can let the skin brown a bit if desired.  Turn peppers and grill until inner side is done about 2 to 4 minutes.

Try serving these peppers alongside Cracked Black Pepper Grilled Sirloin and Fire Cracker Corn Cobs.  You could also start the party with Southwestern Corn and Black Bean Salad or Spicy New Orleans Chicken Wings to really impress dad.

Best,

Victoria

Hey, I just made this exact same thing! I had the peppers and wanted to grill them and looked through my spices and said “Sicilian Seasoning that’s just perfect”. And it was!
